Hi everyone, Dave again.

Do you still have your old regular phone lines and ADSL style internet?  Just a friendly reminder for those that do that both these services are coming to end soon for most of QLD’s Sunshine Coast. I would be happy to do an inspection of your systems and give a written report on what changes your office would need to make to ensure continuity of your services.

Any devices you have that currently use these technologies, such as Phone Systems, ADSL modems, Medic Alert dialer, Back to Base Alarm system, EFTPOS machine, Fax Machines etc., will all cease to work properly unless alternative arrangements are put into place.

Give us a call and Just Ask Dave!

Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas, help@justaskdave.com.au or 0429 328 432.

Hi, Dave here.

If you are in an area that is now serviced by NBN, you need to know that your existing ADSL and home/business phone lines will be disconnected 18 months from the date the NBN was first available in your area. For Noosa, Noosaville and Tewantin this means the end of 2018.

Hi everyone, Dave again.

Do you live or work in Tewantin, Noosaville or Noosa Heads?  These areas are now online for NBN connection (as well as existing areas Sunshine, Sunrise, Marcus and Peregian Beaches and some parts of Doonan)

You don’t have to do anything just yet as you have approx 5 years from when it becomes available to when the old copper based network will shut down. However, if you are in an area that previously could not get ADSL (quite a few areas in Tewantin) you may now have access to high speed NBN internet services. (more…)

Hi, Dave again,

I have had a few calls of late where Telstra is sending a new NBN modem to it’s existing ADSL customers with no advanced warning. If you do not contact them they will change you over to NBN without you asking. If you do not want to change, you have to contact them and send the modem back to them at your expense! They will then tell you that you have to change, but neglect to tell you that you have 5 years from when NBN first became available in your area. (more…)
